Piedmont Pipe Manufacturing’s downspout connections are manufactured entirely from 304 stainless steel plate and tube nearly 1/8” of an inch thick, or 7ga. aluminum nearly ¼” thick. Please refer to the cross reference chart provided to find the optimal choice for your project.

We can design a unit to fit both your project requirements and budget at a lower cost per unit than comparable cast iron products. Piedmont Pipe Manufacturing units weigh a 1/5 of what old cast iron units weigh so you’ll enjoy lower freight costs. Lighter means easier to install – often with just one person reducing overhead. In addition, we’ll ship your order within days of receiving it, regardless of the size or shape.

We offer a full range of sizes.

Although some cast iron manufacturers advertise a full range of sizes, in reality, this is accomplished by providing large connection inlets attached to “standard sized bodies.” For instance, a 5”x7” inlet may be connected to a 5”x 6” body. Our custom rolled “Stab-fit” vertical outlets sized to fit the internal dimension of any size and type of pipe. “Stab-fit” outlets are supplied with a “trim ring” to conceal the pipe profile at finished grade, providing a clean finished look in paved areas. They eliminate the need for ugly external coupling at or above finished grade and allow for boot installation after concrete, asphalt or landscaping has been completed.

Debris Evacuation Cleanout

Our exclusive, patented debris evacuation cleanout provides an internal 304 stainless steel grate and a hinged evacuation door to eject roof debris out of the downspout system before it can make it into the underground piping. This feature is excellent in heavily-wooded areas and on public and educational facilities where rocks, balls, bottles, and other large debris can collect in the gutter drain pipe and clog the underground piping in large rain events.
